The toothed whales or 'odontoceti' tend to be the smaller whales. They feed on all types of birds, fish, seals, sharks and squid; even other whales. The [P 002 / killer whale] is one of the most well-known toothed whales. This black and white whale is highly intelligent and popular in public aquariums for its ability to jump, catch objects, and perform other acrobatic tricks. They attack and kill sea animals, but they do not attack humans.
Sperm whales are very large toothed whales and were hunted intensely in the 19th and 20th centuries for their valuable oil found in their large skulls and their [G 06 / blubber].
